Tenosynovitis and Lymphangitis in the Setting of Mpox Infection

The 2022 Mpox global public health emergency was unique in that flu-like symptoms were not always present, but when present, could occur before, after, or concomitantly with onset of rash. This report discusses the progression of Mpox rash in a 51-year-old male who presented with a lesion on his finger. The role technology played in his care is also considered.

Trauma-Informed Care Initiative in the NICU: Nurse Perspectives

Trauma-informed care (TIC) is an emerging intervention in health care that recognizes the impact of trauma and provides environments that are safe and welcoming for patients, their families, and staff. This scientific report looks at a recent study suggesting educational interventions can significantly change nurses' knowledge of TIC in the NICU. 
 
Pediatric Medical Traumatic Stress and Trauma-Informed Care

Pediatric medical traumatic stress (PMTS) can occur after any medical intervention. This article defines PMTS as one example of adverse childhood events (ACEs) and suggests five trauma-informed care strategies that providers can use when caring for children impacted by PMTS and ACEs in general.
