Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs) is characterized by decreased energy availability and can occur in men as well as women. This article seeks to raise awareness of REDs and give clinicians the resources needed to accurately diagnose and determine the severity of this condition.

Clinicians at LG Health began implementing the Clinical Frailty Scale in 2019 to better assess the needs of geriatric trauma patients. A research team from the health system’s Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Department used data regarding frailty to characterize the risks for pelvic fractures, delirium, and rib fractures.

Combination therapy with glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) agents for diabetes management is not recommended. The primary objective of this study was to determine the frequency of the concomitant use of GLP-1 RAs and DPP-4 inhibitors.
